Cute Kids & Yummy Cookies!
No matter where you teach in the world, September is always a crazy and hectic month for teachers. A new school year equals new students, new routines, and sometimes even new curriculum. This September has been one for the record books: I have new students and a new school in a (relatively) new country! It has been a crazy few weeks, to say the least. Even though things have been a bit busy here in the Watkins house, I absolutely adore my students. It has been so fun getting to know them and they all are so sweet.
This week we had some time set aside for cooking at school and everybody wanted me to teach them something quintessentially American. I immediately thought of chocolate chip cookies! And what better recipe to share with my students than my favorite vegan version which I featured earlier here. When my kids heard that I don’t eat eggs or diary, they said I’m a ‘real vegetarian’ because I don’t eat anything from animals. So when I told them we were going to make ’vegetarian’ chocolate chip cookies, they were so excited! We had a great morning baking the cookies and had an even better time at lunch eating them! Seriously, aren’t my kids the cutest?! And thanks to my awesome husband who came down and took the photos!

What a beautiful blog, Stephanie! I am LOVING the last picture in this post–the little girl, giggling is probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen (and those cookies look rather incredible also–I would giggle over them too!) xo, Cara
Thank you so much Cara! The kids were seriously SO excited. I think it was the best morning of the school year yet
